Our Annual Event
USED BOOK SALES
LiteracyWorks raises funds by selling gently used books.
We have an annual Summer sale at Kildonan Place on the Father's Day weekend, and Spring and Fall sales at Portage Place.
Watch this space for details.
We'd love to receive any gently used books you or your friends have finished with. You can drop them off at our office on the 2nd floor of Colony Square, 500 Portage Avenue. Or we can arrange to pick them up.
Or you can volunteer by helping us organize the Book Sales and selling books on the days of the sales.
To volunteer, or to arrange a pick-up of books, just call us at 786-1212.
Special Event Volunteers
A host of volunteers take part in our two major fundraising/awareness events each year: a used book sale in the spring and a games event in the autumn. These are short-term volunteering opportunities and can often work around your busy schedule.
